Bindery troubleshooting

A file won’t add

• Make sure it’s a PDF. Bindery merges PDFs only.
• Very large files (over ~100 MB) may be rejected — split or compress them first.
• If a PDF is password-protected, unlock it before adding.

The merge failed

Bindery reports a clear message when something goes wrong. Common causes:

• A source file moved or was deleted after you added it — remove it from the list and re-add it.
• No write permission at the save location — pick a folder you own (for example your Documents).
• A corrupt source PDF — open it in Preview to confirm it’s valid.

The output order is wrong

Pages follow the list order. Drag rows to rearrange, or use the sort control, then merge again.
